~Biography Taimi was born in Havana Cuba in 1977. She studied photography with prestigious Cuban photographers such as Jorge García Alonso, Jorge Arencibia, Rufino del Balle & others. Her photos have been exhibited in prestigious art centers in Cuba such as the National Center for Plastic Arts & Design & she has participated in dozens of group exhibitions in Cuba. Her photography of Havana is characterized by compositional richness, an exquisite use of light with a marked emphasis on high contrasts. Tai’s images achieve are overloaded with feelings & nostalgia for Havana that despite being almost in ruins cont, to vibrate & captivate us with its survival stories. In 2018, Taimi underwent a heart transplant that radically changed hers, resuming her passion for photography & culinary art.
